Question by : Should I go for a PMP (PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL )course?
I have done Msc Mass communication, I recently came to know about Project management Professional certification, one of the institutes in my region is offering this course, ie the PMP exam training , which will be for 12 days , 3 hours daily. I need to know that will I be able to grasp the concept , since I have very basic knowledge regarding Pm. How easy is it for a person to pass the PMP exam in one go?

Even though you can take the course, I don’t think you’re eligible for the PMP (check the PMP eligibility criteria here: http://www.projectmanagementlearning.com/what-is-the-pmp-eligibility-criteria.html )

In order for you to become a PMP, you will need to submit an application to PMI that you meet the requirements (you will need to have 4,500 hours of previous project management experience).

Capability Management is closely related to training and development. Training and development is necessary to sustain the core capabilities in any organization. You can go through wikipedia – capability management. Also, capability management and measurement may be needed to measure the capability on the job profile of staff and labor in the organization.

Training and development necessarily must be associated for progression of the employee and operational benefit for the organisation if we step outside the enterprise and if there is skills development needed that enhances capability what are the options for example for a Tech Support BPO person.

On January 25th, Mitch Brodsky, Treasurer of ART and the Digital Archives Project Manager at the New York Philharmonic, presented a workshop on the ‘Basics of Project Management for Archivists.’ After an overview which established the need for project management training in the archival profession, Mr. Brodsky provided practical examples from his experience managing digitization projects and shared some open-source tools that make project management accessible for all budgets and backgrounds.

Special thanks to the National Archives at New York City for graciously hosting the workshop.

Best answer:

Answer by Jeffrey B
What are your objectives for these modules? How long do you want them to take? ie. 4 hours per module, etc. What do you want the subject matter to be? (There are many aspects to project management) Are you willing to pay for these modules? Is it for your organization or are you looking for homework completion?

What do you think? Answer below!
