Shotgun Tank Round – XM1028 120mm Canister Tank Cartridge

The Tank Cartridge, 120mm, Canister, XM1028, is a tank round comprised of 1150 (est.) tungsten balls, which are expelled upon muzzle exit. There is no fuse on this round. While the dispersion pattern increases with range as the velocity of the balls decreases, the dense tungsten balls are used to minimize the velocity fall-off. This program responds to the USFK urgency of need signed by the CINC in Dec ’99. RAPT Initiative Funding to be used for 6.0M in FY02 to accelerate development by one year earlier than previously planned. This round meets urgent CINC, USFK requirements to provide effective rapid lethal reaction against massed assaulting infantry armed with hand held anti-tank and automatic weapons at close range (500 meters or less) thereby improving survivability. Additionally, this round will significantly increase the tank’s lethality and enhance the tank crew’s survivability. This additional capability will give the Abrams Tank the ability to survive RPG ambushes and to fully support friendly infantry assaults. The M1028 Integrated Product Team achieved type classification standard of the canister round on 24 June 2005. The achievement followed closely their urgent release action, with rounds from early lots already headed to where they will do the most good. The earlier significant accomplishment happened in 2004 when the IPT successfully reached its milestone C, Type Classification for Low Rate Production Review, and the recommendation for urgent release to

Pt 1/8 Bill Ryan – Project Avalon – Live Interactive Conference – Spectrum

www.spectrumradionetwork.com Bill Ryan Joined us special event, a live interactive conference with BBSRadio listeners and Project Avalon members. Listeners logged into a chat program program called PA Chat and would ask Bill Ryan questions live and he would answer them live on the air. He fielded many questions with in-depth answers and we had a surprise visit for the last 1/2 hour of the show when Kerry Cassidy joined and answered some questions from the listeners. The event ran very smoothly and was a success :) Bill Ryan has a BSc in Mathematics with Physics and Psychology (Bristol University, UK, 1974), and followed this with a brief stint in teaching. For 27 years he was a management consultant specializing in personal and team development, leadership training and executive coaching. Major long-term clients included BAe (formerly British Aerospace), Hewlett-Packard, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. In November 2005 he inaugurated the Project Serpo website, the report of an alleged disclosure, in stages, of a US-alien exchange program which took place over 40 years ago. While he had been interested in UFOs, Free Energy research and alternative medicine (he is trained as a kinesiologist) for over thirty years, his first contact with the UFO community at large occurred after establishing the Serpo website. He resigned his management consultancy post in May 2006, having founded Project Camelot with Kerry Cassidy. Camelot was a bold (and highly successful) adventure into

CIA Archives: The Corona Program – Military History, Satellite Imagery (1972)

DVD: www.amazon.com More CIA films: thefilmarchived.blogspot.com The Corona program was a series of American strategic reconnaissance satellites produced and operated by the Central Intelligence Agency Directorate of Science & Technology with substantial assistance from the US Air Force. The Corona satellites were used for photographic surveillance of the Soviet Union (USSR), the People’s Republic of China, and other areas beginning in June 1959 and ending in May 1972. The name of this program is sometimes seen as “CORONA”, but its actual name “Corona” was a codeword, not an acronym for anything. The Corona project was pushed forward especially following the shooting down of a U-2 spy plane over the Soviet Union in May 1960. The Corona satellites were designated KH-1, KH-2, KH-3, KH-4, KH-4A and KH-4B. KH stood for “Key Hole” or “Keyhole” (Code number 1010), and the incrementing number indicated changes in the surveillance instrumentation, such as the change from single-panoramic to double-panoramic cameras. The “KH” naming system was first used in 1962 with KH-4 and the earlier numbers were retroactively applied. There were 144 Corona satellites launched, of which 102 returned usable photographs. The procurement and maintenance of the CORONA satellites was managed by the Central Intelligence Agency, which used cover arrangements lasting from 1 April 1958 to 1969 to get access to the Palo Alto plant of the Hiller Helicopter Corporation for the production. The Go Programming Language

Google Tech Talks October 30, 2009 ABSTRACT Presented by Rob Pike What is Go? Go is a new experimental systems programming language intended to make software development fast. Our goal is that a major Google binary should be buildable in a few seconds on a single machine. The language is concurrent, garbage-collected, and requires explicit declaration of dependencies. Simple syntax and a clean type system support a number of programming styles. For more on Go including FAQs, source code, libraries, and tutorials, please see: golang.org
