Book idea… would you read it?

Question by Ariel: Book idea… would you read it?
I want to write a book about a blind girl and her friend. The blind girl asks her friend to describe the colors in a crayon box. Each chapter is dedicated to a color and an event takes place in the chapter that explains the color. It is supposed to be a motivational, life – changing kind of story. Does it sound too corny or is it more original? If people like it, I’ll go for it. Watch for the intro! :)

Motivational story about reaching goals and finding new ones?

Question by Maddy: Motivational story about reaching goals and finding new ones?
I am looking for a motivational/inspirational story to use in a newsletter. Credit will be given citing the authors name and any URL’s. I work in a field where for 10 months out of the year we work towards very specific goals working on the road visiting clients and gathering leads. For two months we work from home and prepare for the upcoming season which allows us a chance to recharge.

I am finding lots of stories about success and achievement but I need something with a theme of reaching the summit and finding new mountains to climb if that makes sense. Any help is appreciated.

No one can make meaningful goals for you but yourself.

If you are working in a field which you do not find challenging, then either look for another job or revitalise your interest; otherwise you will hate the dawn of every working day. You will also be unproductive eventually.

God Save That Little Boy By Derek Clark Motivational Speaker

This song says it all about never giving up hope on God. My 3 year old daughter sings along with me. It is amazing that she walked into my recording studio that day and started singing. Her voice is angelic in this song. Have you ever given up on God? Or been close to giving up on Him? I have. This is the story of a spiritual journey: from feeling abandoned by God to feeling embraced by God. For years I’d felt an oppressive weight bearing down on me: the burden of anger against God. Why did it feel like He never stuck up for me? Why didn’t He rescue me from the abuse, loneliness, and pain of a troubled childhood? Why didn’t He stop my parents from abandoning me to the foster care system? With every disappointment, I became more and more convinced He wasn’t there, wasn’t guiding me through my struggles. He either could not or would not comfort me during the hard times; the times I needed Him most. I didn’t fear God, and secretly despised Him. It was the drowning death and resuscitation of a young girl that forced me to rethink my contentious and unhealthy relationship with God. Knocked hard out of my irreligious complacency, I came to see tragedy, hope, suffering, and overcoming with new clarity and understanding. Adversity, I realized, can be one of God’s greatest blessings. This spiritual epiphany has filled me with immeasurable gratitude: for the breath of life, the goodness around me, and even for the sad, troubled past I had to overcome. This is a story about

Question by Melissa Mons†er: I am becoming a vegetarian but need some help?
So i am 16 and have decided to be a vegetarian but i need some help and have some questions.

1. How did you give up meat…like what was the process you took? I don’t know how I am going to do it…my top 20 favorite foods all have meat in them. If i do it gradually, i worry i will fallback and give up.

2. I am mainly giving up meat because of my concern for animals and I feel like if i eat eggs/milk/cheese/etc, i’m not helping. Is JUST being a vegetarian okay? Do vegans look down on vegetarians?

3. Another reason i want to go vegetarian is because i’ve heard it’s healthy. Is this true? Did any of you lose weight from it? Feel healthier?

4. How do i get my protein?

5. Any motivational stories and any advice will help :)

Organizational Engagement

Are clowns and other corporate amusements in your line up of employee engagement activities? maybe we opt for more serious stuff like corporate score cards and employee surveys to produce the data our organizations thrive on? Let’s be honest: what are our real intentions for doing these things? Are we trying to placate employees or can we find an effective way of inviting our employees to mix together their energies, talents and visions Are we committed to conferring with our employees? Do we understand when collaboration makes sense and when it’s possible? Can we stay engaged with our employees? It turns out putting the multifaceted natural capacity of stories to work leads to a whole host of new organizational engagement strategies and tactics you may have overlooked.
