I am an aspiring business owner. I want to bring out an online clothing, shoe and accessories store and is planning to launch my website in April 2012. I’ve been planning and brainstorming different ideas, marketing and products this whole year. I want to market to the teenage/young women demographic who are average sized (regular S, M, L) to Plus sized. I’ve looked at a couple of wholesale clothing websites but they seem to not have the EXACT look I want my company to represent. So I was wondering, to all the clothing store owners…where do I get information on the wholesale clothing events in the Los Angeles area? I’m waiting on my business license to come in the mail so I know I will need that! But how do I get into the KNOW of the fashion industry! Oh and I need a mentor also…whoever wants to lend a helping hand in my career journey that will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time!!!
If u don’t have anything nice to say or have the right advice for me just ignore the question…negative comments are just a waste of ur time because it doesn’t affect me whatsoever….all I need is advice! Out of all these answers, no one has actually answered my question! I hope there is someone out there that can give me sound advice and actually answer my question w/o giving an opinion…and btw obviously I’m not looking for brand named wholesalers or distributors to sell to me…the max I’m trying to invest in my business is $ 5,000-$ 7,000….SOOO if ANYONE knows where I can have access to the wholesaler showrooms in the LOS ANGELES, CA area I would be TRULY THANKFUL!!! :)

PYF Challenge Entry: Turning 20 Bucks into 20 Thousand

My husband and I plan to bankroll his MBA degree, starting with just 20 bucks. We used the money for some business cards and a website, and we’re going to roll in a lot of sweat and pavement pounding, and hopefully we’ll make 20 thousand dollars through tutoring and writing jobs over the next three years. (We figure that it’s about time my MA became good for something.)

Bryan Garner, News Channel 5 visits a farm in Fellsmere that produces algae which replaces crude oil. Fred Tennant (Vice President of Petroalgae) says it is cheaper than oil, a lot cheaper. Arizona State developed this Algae and or process. Bits of algae fed with carbon dioxide grow dark green. From seed to harvest in just two days. This video was taken before the gas reached the four dollar mark. The kick in the ass is that this company will not produce it for the public. So I don’t see it effecting pump prices, EVER!
